Nuclear Option? Gimme an "H"...

It wasn't too long ago that the Dems were declaring the end of the Union because the majority Republicans were going to use the "Nuclear Option" to get some judicial nominees through.
Now that they are the majority party in Congress, there is nothing wrong with using the Nuclear Option - even this time which applies to the bigger issue of trying to get a law passed.
Like most other things the Dems profess disdain for, this too has found its way into the memory hole.

Byrd rule
If it was a Republican initative why is it called the Byrd rule??

According the the dailykos (hate to have to use them as a source) - it was created by Robert Byrd, so I'm not sure why they care calling it a Republican initiative unless they mean that Republicans will be using it in this matter.
